I just want to say thank you so much to each and every one of you! I have thoroughly enjoyed teaching you all. You made my job easy and so much fun! I loved coming to work each day! Many thanks to your parents for all of their support and assistance throughout the past year. I hope you all have a wonderful summer!

We had a great day on our field trip to Kenesserie Camp! Thanks so much to all of our parent volunteers for coming with us!

Friday June 12

The grade 8's are working on humanitarian projects to help others. One group has chosen to hold a one day food drive to benefit the Salvation Army. Another has decided to sell freezies for 50 cents and put the profits toward malaria netting. All of this is happening this Friday . As well please bring your play props and costumes on Friday so we can begin working with these items . Thank you.

Also .... Reminder that McDonalds hamburger orders are due tomorrow June 11.

We are walking down to King George P.S. Tomorrow afternoon. Remember to bring sunscreen and some extra water. Also wear comfortable shoes for the walk! Looking forward to it! 😀

3-d shape pets continued

These 2 were away on Friday so they got caught up today....

We made 3-d shapes into pets out of clay. Then we weighed them. Finally we compared ours with a friend's to determine which one weighed more!

Dance club performance today!

Many people from our class participated in dance club this year. Today was their performance. They did such a great job!! Thank you to our coordinator Meghan Frampton!

Multiplying game

I'm sending home a multiplying game tonight. The directions are on the page and we played it in class today so your child should know how to play. I suggested using something like mini marshmallows, chocolate chips or pennies as the markers. It's a fun game and great practice!

Friday March 13 is Pajama day for our class!! Wear your pj's and bring a blanket or stuffed animal. Don't forget to bring a board game or 2 labelled with your name. It will be such a fun day! We can't wait!

Friday February 27

There is a staff vs grade 8 students volleyball game tomorrow at recess. Students who wish to watch are asked to bring $2.00 as a donation that will go towards cancer research. Attendance is completely optional. I am playing, but with great reluctance! 😀

Our 100th day name patterns quilt

Each student filled a blank hundreds chart with their name and depending on the number of letters in their name, it made a pattern on their hundreds chart. I put all of them together to make a quilt for our classroom!
